S A Y A designs was founded in 2015 by artist and designer Victoria Jones out of a deep love of nature and a growing awareness of environmental issues, she desired to create a brand with a real story to tell.

Whilst teaching in Bali in 2015, she became increasingly aware about environmental and forestry issues due to the heavy exploitation of the Palm Oil Industry in Indonesia. This led her to visit NGO’s and attend sustainability conferences and work with local artisans, all in a bid to understand the bigger picture. As an issue with both global and local repercussions, and one that needs a great deal of attention and exposure, this is what she decided to focus on.

At this pivotal point in climate change, being able to put money directly into the pockets of local artisans, NGOs and those going the extra mile to work ethically, is a very powerful thing.
